Soft Opening Postponed
As you know, we've been eagerly preparing to welcome you to our new home. However, after careful consideration, we've made the difficult decision to postpone our soft opening that was originally scheduled for later this month.
With the Fiber Festival approaching this weekend, the ongoing process of moving into our new building, and the demands of fulfilling orders, we simply wouldn't be ready.
We truly can’t wait to welcome you into our space, however we want to ensure that everything is just right when we open our doors to you. Your first experience with us means everything, and it's important our space reflects that.

Big Dreams, Big News!
Today is a pinch-me moment as I share some incredible news with you. This photo captures the sheer joy of my family and me in front of the future home of North Bay Fiber!
Purchasing this building marks a monumental leap forward for our small business, a journey that began just under three years ago. Over the next few months, we’ll be transitioning our operations to this beautiful new space in Pinconning, Michigan.
The reality of this growth is still sinking in—transforming our passion for knitting and yarn into a thriving business that we can now call home. Reflecting on how far we’ve come, I’m overwhelmed with happy tears, a testament to hard work, dedication, and the incredible support from our family and community.
As we embark on this new chapter, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Thank you for being part of our journey, for your encouragement, and support. Each time you cheer us on, share our business, and of course, purchase our yarn, you play a significant role in making these dreams come true.

Trunk Show - Wool and Honey
I'm thrilled to announce that Wool And Honey is hosting a North Bay Fiber Trunk Show, and I can't wait to share this exciting weekend with you! Join us March 8-10, 2024, for a delightful knitting experience in the charming setting of Northern Michigan.
The festivities kick off on Friday with a launch event featuring mocktails, a yarn preview, and a chance to mingle. I'll be on hand to assist with patterns, yarn choices, and colors. Join me for a Q&A session where I'll share my North Bay Fiber journey. I’ll be wearing my (new!) Journey Cardigan—the pattern will debut at the trunk show and attendees will have the first chance to secure kits!
Saturday promises a full day of knitting, chatting, and inspiration. From 10 am to noon, join the Open Stitch session - this is a dedicated time to sit and knit together. The remainder of the day will feature a showcase of yarn, colors, and samples sure to inspire you. Wool and Honey will also host drawings for fabulous yarny goodies – a perfect way enhance to your stash!

Holiday Break + Pattern Sale

Starting, Tuesday, December 19th, we will take our annual end of the year, Holiday break. Any orders placed during our Holiday Break will be processed at the start of the New Year. Any in-stock items will ship once we resume processing orders. For yarn ordered that is not in our current inventory, we will dye-to-order and ship within 1-3 weeks from January 3, 2024.
We are looking forward to spending our break with family and friends, enjoying each others company, reflecting on all that has been accomplished and all that we are thankful for. It’s been a while since we had one of our Catch of the Day (COTD) Updates. To refresh your memory, COTD Updates are Updates where we list yarn that, for one reason or another, didn't turn out the way we intended. While, the yarn and the colors are still beautiful, because the results were unexpected, we can not replicate these colors. Last week's release of the Heritage Home Collection has given us the perfect opportunity to host the Heritage Home Collection KAL (HHC23 KAL)!
As you know, the Heritage Home Collection is a collaboration featuring patterns designed by myself and Dori Kershner (@florydori). We will both be your hosts for this KAL. All KAL participants are invited to a Kick-Off Zoom Party on February 20, 2023 at 6:30pm eastern (link to come).
During the Zoom we will discuss the patterns, the yarn and colors, plus, Dori will demonstrate various techniques used in the Heritage Home Collection. I will be available to help with color choices and pairings for anyone making last minute selections. It is sure to be a fun evening!

Our colors are inspired by the iconic Hudson Bay Blanket, but the blanket would be just as beautiful in a solid. Knit in our Heritage base, this woolly blanket will be an heirloom for years to come.
