Knitting Techniques: Introduction to Cables

Ready to expand your knitting skills and try something new? This focused techniques class is the perfect way to build confidence and take your projects to the next level.

A working knowledge of basic knitting is required. Students should already know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Led by our experienced instructor, Jane, this class is intentionally kept small to ensure personalized guidance, hands-on support, and a relaxed learning environment where no one gets left behind.

 


In This Class You Will:

• Learn how to read a cable chart and written cable instructions
• Knit a basic cable confidently
• Understand how cables are formed and how to troubleshoot them

Cost: $45
Format: 1 session (2 hours total)
Materials: Not included
Students receive 10% off class supplies purchased in-store.

 


Materials Needed

• Approximately 50g DK weight yarn (Heavy DK/Light Worsted) - We recommend BayHouse DK
• Cable needle
• Knitting needles appropriate for DK weight yarn - We recommend a US 7, 16" circular needle.

  • 24–72 hours before class: 50% refund 

  • Less than 24 hours or no-shows: No refund  

Due to the small class size, last-minute cancellations impact both the instructors and other potential participants. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us host meaningful and memorable experiences with our visiting teachers.

If we need to cancel the class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund.
