CERTIFICATION:
Not only is our BayHouse yarn made in America with American wool, it is also American Wool Assurance (AWA) certified, sourced from Great Lakes Lamb.

BayHouse yarn’s AWA certification means the wool is sourced from U.S. sheep raised under verified standards for animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and responsible land management. Each participating farm is independently audited, ensuring full traceability and ethical practices from pasture to skein. This certification adds an extra layer of care, integrity, and quality to every skein we produce.

DESCRIPTION:
Our BayHouse yarn line is woolen spun yarn that takes the dye beautifully. The yarn is light and lofty. An ideal yarn for colorwork, but also contains enough body to showcase texture.

BREED:
Targhee-Polypay sheep are known for their consistent, quality fleece. The fine wool heritage is evident in their wool. The yarn is soft and fine, but also durable. This makes it an excellent choice for everyday garments and accessories.
