WORKSHOP: Discover Thrumming!

$45.00

Discover the timeless art of thrumming—a knitting technique that incorporates soft, insulating roving into your project for unmatched warmth and fluffiness. Thrums, short lengths of unspun roving (we’ll use pencil roving), are worked into your knitting to create a cozy, cloud-like lining. Perfect for mittens, hats, slippers, and more, thrumming adds both style and functionality to your handmade items.

Julie will lead this workshop and guide you through the process of creating and working with thrums while casting on for the Thrumbelina Slipper pattern. You’ll make enough progress in class to confidently finish your project at your own pace.

  • Tips for working with roving to create a warm, fluffy lining.
  • Casting on and starting the Thrumbelina Slipper pattern.
