DESCRIPTION:
BayBlend DK is a woolen spun yarn that beautifully combines softness and structure. This lofty, two-ply blend of wool and alpaca takes the dye with rich depth and dimension. With a smooth hand and gentle halo, it’s perfect for cozy garments, colorwork, and textured stitches alike. 
 

BREED:
BayBlend DK brings together 85% Targhee-Polypay wool—the same source of our Heritage yarn line known for its fine, resilient fleece—and 15% Huacaya alpaca, prized for its softness and warmth. The result is a balanced yarn that’s soft yet durable, light yet full of body, making it a versatile choice for everyday knits.

CARE:
• This yarn blooms and softens even more after a soak. Hand wash in lukewarm water and dry flat. 

NOTE:
• The yarn is spun at a DK weight but when knit up and blocked, this yarn blooms to a gauge that is comparable to a heavy DK / light worsted weight yarn.
• In an effort to not damage or weaken the wool it is not harshly scoured, therefore a small amount of vegetable matter (VM) might be present in the yarn.

• Hand-dyed Orders: If the yarn you ordered is in current inventory, your order will ship within 2-4 business days. For yarn ordered that is not in our current inventory, we will dye-to-order and ship within 1-3 weeks from purchase.
• Orders are shipped USPS. Cost will depend on order weight and destination and will be calculated at checkout.
• We currently only ship within the United States and to Canada. If you are outside of this range, please email us ( info@northbayfiber.com ) and we arrange shipping options for you.
