CAST-ON PARTY: Bédélia Bandana

We are thrilled to welcome designer Kim Bussell, of @thegratefulsheep, to North Bay Fiber for a special Cast-On Party celebrating her brand new design, the Bédélia Bandana that will release on September 12th—a beautiful new collaboration using North Bay Fiber Journey yarn!

This unique, bandana-style cowl is destined to become a wardrobe staple. Knit flat from the bottom up and then joined in the round at the base of the neck, the bandana combines slip stitches and a 3-stitch cable to create an all-over textured look. It’s cozy, wearable, and the perfect project to take you from late summer into fall and winter.

✨ Prerequisites
You must know how to knit, purl, and cast on.

✨ What You’ll Learn

• How to work a garter tab cast-on

• The slip stitch technique used throughout the pattern

• The 3-stitch cable that creates the textured look

• A copy of the Bédélia Bandana pattern (included in class fee)

• 10% off yarn and supplies purchased for this project (yarn not included in the class cost - note this pattern takes 2 skeins of Journey)

✨ What to Expect
Together, we’ll cast on and get a solid start on the bandana with Kim’s guidance. She’ll go over the stitches used in the pattern, ensuring you feel confident moving forward on your own. At the end of class, you’ll leave with the skills and confidence to finish at your own pace. If you’d like more help, you’re always welcome to join us at Wednesday Knit Night (5–7:30 PM) for extra support.
