Cable Knitting Class with Haulin’ Hoof Farm

Taught by special guests Valerie Fox & Adallie Fox of Haulin’ Hoof Farm 

We’re so excited to welcome Valerie and Adallie of Haulin’ Hoof Farm to North Bay Fiber during the Middle of the Mitten Yarn Crawl! In addition to showcasing their beautiful yarns during their Trunk Show, they’ll be teaching a special Intro to Cable Knitting class—perfect for adventurous beginners or anyone looking to add cables to their knitting toolkit.


🧵 What You’ll Learn:

✨ How to read and knit simple cable charts
✨ Explore a variety of cable patterns
✨ Cast on a narrow project that can be knit to any length—once your swatch is long enough, fold and seam it into a cute glasses case with a button closure!

You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with Valerie and Adallie, hear about their creative journey, and get inspired by their love of fiber.

 


✅ Skill Requirements:

Students must be comfortable with:
✔️ Casting on
✔️ Knitting
✔️ Purling

This is a great next-step class for knitters who are ready to expand their skills.

 


🧶 What's Included:

  • Skein of North Bay Fiber, Heritage DK

  • Cable charts are provided

 

 

🧵 Additional Materials Needed:

  • US 7 or US 8 knitting needle

  • Cable hook

  • Darning needle

Students will receive 10% off class supplies purchased at North Bay Fiber.

Cancellation & Refund Policy – Special Guest Class

We understand that life happens and plans can change! However, since this is a special guest class with limited availability and a one-time opportunity, we’re unable to offer rescheduling or transfer of registrations.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 72+ hours in advance: Full refund

  • 24–72 hours before class: 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hours or no-shows: No refund

Due to the small class size and the unique nature of this guest-led event, last-minute cancellations impact both the instructors and other potential participants. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us host meaningful and memorable experiences with our visiting teachers.

If we need to cancel the class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund.

Class full? If the class is sold out, please email classes@northbayfiber.com to be added to the waitlist. Should a spot open up, we will notify people on the list on a first-come, first-served basis.
