This class is a party! Bring your knit and crochet friends, choose your preferred craft, and make an adorable mini Christmas stocking. It doesn’t matter if you knit and your best friend crochets—this is finally a class you can take together!

Knit instructor Leah Barczykowski will guide knitters through a top-down mini stocking, while crochet instructor Joelle Ferguson will lead crocheters through a toe-up mini stocking. These little stockings are a perfect introduction to sock-making and make the sweetest ornaments, gift tags, or garland pieces.

Each participant will receive a kit in Heritage DK yarn, with enough yarn to make two mini stockings!

You’ll Learn:

  • Pattern reading and basic sock construction

  • How to change colors

  • Circular knitting/crochet in the round

  • Working in a small circumference

 

 

Materials Provided:

  • Yarn for 2 stockings (North Bay Fiber Heritage DK)

  • Festive Stitch Marker

  • Darning Needle

  • Plus, some sweet treats, all packaged in a cute Holiday Box!

 

 

Materials to Bring:

  • Size 6 needles (DPNs, FlexiFlips, or magic loop)

  • Size E crochet hook

 

 

Please Note: All students get 10% off any supplies that might not be included in the class materials.

 

 

 

 

 

Prerequisites:

  • Knitters: Must know how to knit and purl

  • Crocheters: Must know how to chain and single crochet
