Granny Square Class

Adventurous beginners for ages 11 and up.

 

Want to take your crochet granny squares to the next level? Join us at the shop on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for this fun half-and-half granny square class.

In this one-day class, instructor Joelle will lead you step-by-step through the two-color block. You will learn to combine the open and airy traditional granny square with the closed texture of the solid granny square. You will explore techniques for changing colors in crochet (and weaving in all those pesky ends).

You should be familiar with basic crochet stitches, including chain, single crochet and double crochet. 

Materials for the class are approx 25 grams of 2 different colors of yarn in a DK or Worsted Weight yarn, similar to Heritage DK or Elemental Worsted. As well as a size H crochet hook of size needed for gauge. Students are welcome to buy their materials in the shop or bring their own. Students get 10% off supplies.

We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change! If you need to cancel your knitting class reservation, please let the shop know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else.

  • Cancellations 48+ hours in advance: You’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule within 30 days.
  • Cancellations within 24-48 hours: A 50% refund or rescheduling (if space allows).
  • No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours: Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund, as your reserved spot could have gone to another participant.

Since class sizes are limited, last-minute cancellations mean lost opportunities for others and impact the time and materials we've set aside. We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping things fair for everyone!

If we cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances you’ll have an option to receive a full refund or to reschedule within 30 days.
