We’re so excited to welcome Jill of Knit Sisu to North Bay Fiber during the Middle of the Mitten Yarn Crawl! Jill will be teaching her popular Learn Gauge & Make It Fit class! 

🧵 What You’ll Learn:

✨ How & why gauge works, and why it's important
✨ How to correctly make, and read, a gauge swatch and use that information with a pattern. 
✨ What to do when the swatch doesn't match the pattern. 
✨ The basics of garment design, and how it works with sizing. 
✨ The skills, tips, & techniques necessary to tailor a garment pattern specifically to your taste, size, and fit. 

✅ Skill Requirements:

This is an informative class for any level knitter! 
Participants should have experience with:
✔️ Casting on
✔️ Knitting
✔️ Purling

No sweater knitting experience is needed. 

🧶 What's Included:

• The Knit Sisu Make It Fit Guide
• A free Knit Sisu pattern
• Class outlines will be provided

✅ Additional Materials Needed:

• A knitted swatch: Using DK yarn and size US 7 or 8 needles, CO 30 sts, knit 2" in Stockinette Stitch.  Do not bind off.
• Bring your own previously worked gauge swatches, and/or a handknit garment to troubleshoot (either finished or still in progress)

Cancellation & Refund Policy – Special Guest Class

We understand that life happens and plans can change! However, since this is a special guest class with limited availability and a one-time opportunity, we’re unable to offer rescheduling or transfer of registrations.

Cancellation Policy:

• 72+ hours in advance: Full refund

• 24–72 hours before class: 50% refund

• Less than 24 hours or no-shows: No refund

Due to the small class size and the unique nature of this guest-led event, last-minute cancellations impact both the instructors and other potential participants. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us host meaningful and memorable experiences with our visiting teachers.

If we need to cancel the class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund.
